I'm currently a computer science senior pursuing my bachelor's degree at California Lutheran University. I cultivated some experience with tutoring when I taught math at the middle school and high school levels for two years. If I had to pick a favorite subject, I would choose math because I thrive on the challenge of solving math problems. I also enjoy teaching my students effective study habits to help them achieve results. I'm adept in teaching pre-calculus, algebra, trigonometry, technology and computer science, and Spanish.With my tutoring style, I use a conceptual approach. I draw the steps wherever possible and elaborate on every detailed step along the way so my students can visually understand how we arrived at the solution. I practice with my students going over multiple problems until they see a pattern on their own. This approach gives them something to reference, so they feel more at ease when doing their work. It is my belief that math is a subject that everyone learns at their own pace. It's a subject that triggers a series of questions that are best addressed in a one-on-one session. In my free time, I enjoy playing collegiate tennis, hiking with friends, spending time at the beach, and coaching tennis.
