ExperienceI have been employed in education, film, and live theater for more than 25 years. I graduated from the University of Texas with bachelor's degrees in sociology and psychology. I have a master's in theatre with a focus on directing and playwriting from San Diego State. I also hold an MFA from the University of California in creative writing and writing for the performing arts with an emphasis on poetry and screenwriting. I belong to the Actors' Equity Association, the Screen Actor's Guild, and the Dramatist Guild, Inc. I strongly believe that education has the ability to alter people's lives, restore the soul, and affect change in the community--a change filled with hopes, dreams, and imagination. My personal hunt for knowledge is ongoing. We are all students, as well as teachers, on this quest for wisdom and understanding. I tutor students in reading, creative and formal writing, literature, acting, presentation of self, general theatre topics, and public speaking. I also excel at grammar, essay editing, and test prep. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, and write. I also enjoy music and film.
